Racing age:
24
Marital status:
Single
Job:
Operations Technician (or so they call me)
Hobbies:
Reading and...my bike
Category:
5
Preferred type of racing:
I guess I'd have to say crits as they're all I've done. TT's sound like they'd be fun.
Race resume:
1 twilight crit and 3 Early Bird crits. No real results to speak of YET.
Memorable Milestones:
The first time I rode 50 miles in one sitting. I wanted to go more but my light died and I had to ride the sidewalks home.
Who is your cycling icon and why:
This Mexican dude named Julio Perez Cuapio, some may remember him for winning a stage in last years Giro. Julio showed so much soul in the mountains in the Giro. I was him the first time I rode up Palomares.

Why I started cycling:
Ever since my brother got his Sears "ten speed" I was hooked. Only recently have I been able to afford to put myself atop one of these miracles of transportation. I also suck at every other "normal" sport, and a swimming club membership sounds silly to me.
Why I am still riding:
My knees still work (most of the time).
Why I still Race:
I just started! Really though, deep down, I know that chicks dig a spandex clad racer-guy.
Favorite Ride:
Dunno yet. I was hoping someone in the club could show me some good roads.
Nemesis Ride:
I tried to ride up Morrison Canyon Road really fast one time and almost puked a few hundred yards (probably less) into it. Haven't tried it since, so I guess that would be it.
My Race Bikes:
KHS Flite 800 w/full Ultegra except the DA rear derailleur. Open pros on Ultegra hubs. Frame is Reynolds 853 for the main tubes, 530 in the rear. Nice bike, crappy paint job.
My worst bike:
This is one of those trick questions like "Which is your worst child?" My bikes are in the other room, so I won't answer this one.
Training Philosophy:
Uh...listen to your body and rest when it asks for it. Ride like hell the rest of the time.
Style:
Yup, I've got plenty of it, or so I like to think.
Short Term Goals:
Cat. 3 by the end of the season.
Long Term Goals:
To hear "Here's your new bike for this season..." and not hear a cash register ring up shortly thereafter.
