If you haven't heard the EB was cancelled today just before the completion of the 4/5 race. Robin said she saw quite a few people out there from FFBC, Paul and Brian for sure. Anyway, I talked to the promoter briefly and he said the city had been giving him the run around. They were late on his permit as they had the last previous years. He held the races as the past previous years.
This time the police showed up halfway through the 4/5 race and made him stop. Apparently he had filled out the permit, put the police group hadn't signed it off. Sort of what they did to us a few years back, but they actually did sign it in our case, although they did try to pull it back. The promoter isn't sure about next week. He'll let us know by e-mail. What a bummer, it was such a nice day too. I saw a woman who drove from Davis to race! Yeow!
That serves me right for trying to save myself for today. I should have done the whole ride with you guys yesterday. Hope you had fun. Oh well...
