Result: Top ten

Went up and raced the Howell Mountain Challenge in Angwin, CA. It was 100 degrees outside. Started the race off well. There was seven of us in the lead group after the start. This was a two lap race twenty mile race where the beginners only did one lap. The single track on this course is some of the best I have ever ridden. I felt pretty good after the first lap, but the heat started to take its toll on me in the second. The only rider that I could see in my class broke his chain on one of the steep climbs. I thought I was going to be in fifth place, but ended up in sixth. Great ride, well organized, great trails, highly recommended.
