What Brian J. saw:
Category: 5
Result: Top ten
Well myself and Ziggy(Brian Z.) made it out to the Lighthouse Criterium today. It was a nice drive. Ziggy and I where talking the whole way and I didn't realize how fast we where going. I believe we made it to Sacramento in about an hour and some change. Very little change! The weather was a "COOL ONE"! It was 41 degrees when we got there and 47 degrees when we left, but there was no rain. Alright!!!!
Ziggy and I rode in the Senior 5, there was 31 racers today. The weather probably kept some at home. Race started out with 3 racers breaking away. I thought we would catch them, but I should have remember this is Cat.5 with very few racers that will work together. O-WELL! We had a great time. Ziggy and I did our share of pulling the group. A matter of fact we did more than our share. At one of my many pulls. I pulled off to the side and yelled back, there's plenty for everyone up here! Not to many takers. We caught one of the three that broke away, but they other two we didn't. The race finished with a nice long sprint. If you ever done the course you know what I mean. Ziggy got a respectable 16th place. He thought he was further back, but I assured him he was in a better position than he thought. I knew we had lost some racers, along the way. Great Job Ziggy! Remember stay away from those guys that like to use there brakes. Smile! You know what I'm talking about. As for myself, I was able to hang in there for 8th. place. How did everyone else do this weekend?
