First of all, was anyone there but me. I got there at 12:00 for a 2:10 start and went straight to reg. There were only 6 spots left!! just made it. The field was 100 strong with all the big boys, and young "Danny Halloway".

It was only 30 laps long and the course was not hard. The race started fast then calmed then the crash. Not too bad but I just missed it. About 15 riders took a free lap and all was well. I was riding in the front half of the field and started to move up with 10 to go. It was fast enough that it took 7 laps to get to the front.

I maintained good position and at the line as they were ringing the bell Danny H attacked with two others and I went for it. We were single file through all four corners barreling the whole way. Out of the fourth corner I was in fourth and was only able to pass the guy in front of me. 3rd place in Giro. was a nice ring to it!!
