Short race report:
My goal was to stay in the race because after doing a couple laps
around the course for warm-up I realized the race consists of either
going up or down, not horizontal. There is probably 100 flat feet of
surface per lap. The race promoters must be confused because their
website says, "total elevation gain per lap - 100'", not the other
way around ;).
Enough whining and to the race. I stayed with the pack for 5 laps.
After I was shelled, I tried to work with a couple people I caught
(also shelled) to delay the inevitable whistle followed by, "Please
exit the race course". After about about 30 minutes of racing, I got
the whistle.
I still don't like hills. Thank god Tomorrow's race is flat.

So fellas, my report will be shorter.
No time for warm-up and
not riding all week...you can pretty much guess what will happen. I
actually didn't feel that bad. The pace in my first race as a 4 was
pretty damn eye opening. I could not go into my big ring so, I was
spinning out for 2 1/2 laps before I decide nothing I could do will
allow me back into it. So, I pulled myself out. Still had a great
time and the weather and course is great with a climb that'll
destroy you. Better luck next time.

An even shorter race report:
I started the E2/3 race. First time up the hill was steady. Second time
wasn't... Oh dear.
